Gavin Rossdale - Love Remains The Same...

Last night we had to take Molli to Boston for an audition. On the way there I throw in my Gavin Rossdale CD so that Tina could hear it. She likes the song Love Remains The Same, but had not heard the whole CD because it was in my truck. She liked it a lot and I was pleased. Tina does have a passion for music, but not exactly the same taste as I have. She likes a lot of variety, which would include Classic Rock, Country, some Pop, but not much of the head banging stuff I love. That's cool with me, because it's all about the music... what moves you might not move someone else. This is a post I had put on my horror movie blog after I heard the titled song on the radio. I thought it would be better suited over here! Enjoy!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gavin McGregor Rossdale (born 30 October 1965)[1] is a British[2] musician most famous for being the lead singer and guitarist of the former rock band Bush and later the lead singer and guitarist of Institute, which broke up in 2006 after only one album.

I don't often put music or artist on my blog that are not in some way affiliated with horror. However, I have to make an exception with Gavin Rossdale. I was listening to the radio a couple days again and I heard a song that really sounded great to me. As is often the case with most radio stations, they don't tell you the name or artist of the song after the song ends. I heard the song again this morning after my eye appointment and I was hooked on it. As some of you know, I love music probably more than movies and just about anything else... except Tina of course! My fascination with music began at a very young age. Music, like no other media touches or moves you with lyrics and sound. However, I'm much more drawn to the sound of the music than the lyrics. That's why I can like a groups music even if I don't agree with their lifestyle or political views.

Gavin Rossdale was the former lead singer of Bush. A group I liked, but not a huge fan. They had several songs in the mid 90's that were really good... Countdown and Glyerine being my favorites. In 2002 he married Gwen Stefani the lead singer of No Doubt. The song I have the video to is Love Remains The Same. It is an awesome song. Check out the video and listen to it several times...

Red Hot Chili Peppers...

My second music post was easy for me as well. I have more Chili Pepper Cd's than any other group. One of the most original sounding bands I have ever heard. I love the funky bass lines of Flea. To me, that, along with the singing of Anthony Kiedis make the Chili Peppers what they are... one of the greatest bands of our time. Bizarre, "crazy", genius... they push the limits on what others think is "normal." I love them! I think they have some of the most original music I've ever heard. While their lyrics are obscene at times, it is just an effort to make you think. Plus, it shows their rebellious nature against what is established thought. The song below, Sir Psycho Sexy didn't get any air time because of the lyrics (which I posted below). I also have a video of the song as well. Read the lyrics and check out the video... it is one of the wildest songs you will ever hear!

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Sir Psycho Sexy

Lyrics...
A long, long, long, long time ago
Before the wind before the snow
Lived a man, lived a man I know
Lived a freak of nature named sir psycho

Sir psycho sexy that is me
Sometimes I find I need to scream

Hes a freak of nature
But we love him so
Hes a freak of nature
But we let him go

Deep inside the garden of eden
Standing there with my heart on bleedin
Theres a devil in my dick and some demons in my semen
Good God no that would be treason
Believe me eve she gave me the reason
Booty lookin too good not to be squeezin
Creamy beaver hotter than a fever
Im a givin cause shes the receiver
I wont and I dont hang up untill I please her
Makin her feel like an over archiever
I take it away for a minute just to tease her
Then I give it back a little bit deeper

Sir psycho sir psycho yea hes the man that I met one time
Sir psycho sir psycho yea hes the man that left me blind
Sir psycho sir psycho yea hes the man hes the man hes the man
Sir psycho sir psycho yea yea

Hes a freak of nature
But we love him so
Hes a freak of nature
But we let him go

I got stopped by a lady cop in my automobile
She said get out and spread your legs
And then she tried to cop a feel
That cop she was all dressed in blue
Was she pretty? boy Im tellin you
She stuck my butt with her big black stick
I said whats up? now suck my dick
Like a ram getting ready to jam the lamb
She whimpered just a little when she felt my hand
On her crotch so very warm
I could feel her getting wet through her uniform
Proppin her up on the black and white
Unzipped and slipped ooo thats tight
I swaited her like no swat team can
Turned a cherry pie right into jam

Sir psycho sir psycho yea Im the man that you met one time
Sir psycho sir psycho yea Im the man that leaves you blind
Sir psycho sir psycho yea Im the man Im the man Im the man
Sir psycho sir psycho yea yea

Hello young woman that I love
Pretty punk rock mamma that Im thinking of
Hold me naked if you will
In your arms in your legs in your pussy Id kill
To be with you, to kiss with you, I do miss you
I love you

Lay me down lay me down lay me down lay me down
Lay me down lay me down lay me down lay me down

Descending waves of graceful pleasure
For your love there is no measure
Her curves they bend with subtle splendor

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the funk will make me freak
If I should die before I waked
Allow me lord to rock out naked
Bored by the ordinary time to take a trip
Calling up a little girl with a bull whip
Lickety split go snap snap
Girl gettin off all in my lap
The tallest the sweetest sap
Blowin my ass right of the map
Ooow and its nice out here
I think Ill stay for a while

Welcome to my passion...

It may take me a while to get this blog to the place my other blog is, but I will take my time and get it to where I want... for now, welcome! I love music... pure and simple! I've been listening to music for as long as I can remember. I was wondering what my first post should be about and I asked myself, "What CD/Cd's do I put in my player most often?" The answer was clear... Godsmack! I saw them about 8 years ago at the Whitamore Center on the campus of UNH. It was Cold, Staind, Godsmack, and another group that wasn't worth sharing the stage with the other groups. I went mainly because I really liked Staind. I didn't know much about Godsmack. I have to tell you that Godsmack ruled the stage that night. I have been a fan ever since! I have all their Cd's except for the acoustic one... don't like any acoustic stuff. It just doesn't sound as good to me. I'm the type of person who loves the music first and lyrics second. The music must move me before I can even get into the lyrics. I know the words are important, but if the music doesn't do it for me, than the greatest lyrics of all time won't mean a thing to me. Music means different things to different people. No matter what style you like, if you find yourself tapping your feet, or tapping your hand on your leg... then you are enjoying your music. Music does have power! Check out the video below... one of my favorite Godsmake songs!
