Tina and I are big fans of American Idol... we only started watching it about 3 years ago, but have been hooked ever since. My favorite time for the show is when they have the 12 finalist. I like the competition aspect of the whole thing. I had to take Tina's car to work the other day and the Daughtry CD was in. I love this CD. He has an incredible voice and his music is very strong. He came in 4th the year he was on Idol which is crazy in my mind. Taylor Hicks won... Taylor Hicks??? Haven't heard anything worth listening too from that guy. Any way, Daughtry is a great band and I love the song Over You. There's a video of it at the end of this post... check it out!

Daughtryis a rock band from North Carolina, formed and fronted by former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry in 2006. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2006. The disc reached number one for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, outsold Idol winner Taylor Hicks' debut effort, sold more than four million copies and was named the number one selling album of 2007 by Billboard. Their album is also the fastest-selling debut rock album in Soundscan history.[7] The first single from the album, "It's Not Over", was the eighth most played song across all formats on U.S. radio in 2007, and their second single from the album, "Home", was the tenth most played song in the U.S. of 2007

Chris has a good voice, but frankly, I find him a bit of a bore in concert. Not to mention a little pitchy. Without the enhancements of the recording studio, he suffers.

Chris is just another run of the mill rocker, nothing special.

Thanks to both of you for your comemnts. I respect your rights to your opinions, but commenting anonymously is a cowards way to voice it... please leave your names. As far as your comments go... well, we all know the saying about opinions... we all have one!

I LOVE Daughtry. As do many people in the world, probably why he sold so many albums. You're right, commenting as anonymous is the cowards way. There are plenty of artists that I hate that I will gladly voice my opinion about and put my name on it. This is your blog, keep voicing your opinions, at least you put your name with it. :) P.S. What about now is my favorite song.
